Work Visa Advice
Accredited Employer Work Visa
This new visa category replaces 6 previous categories, among which is the Essential Skills Work Visa. It is a process led by the employer, since it is required to be accredited and carry out a genuine hiring process (Job check).
What do you need?
1. That the employer that offers you the job is accredited. If it is not, and you need advice on this, we can help you.
2. Have the job offer. What are the conditions of this job? It must be a job where the salary is at least the current national average, $27.76 NZD per hour, for a minimum of 30 hours per week. (there is some exceptions)
3. Being able to show that you are the best candidate! You do this by demonstrating your work experience and/or previous studies relevant to the position.
Our Advice
Employer Accreditation
If your employer requires help with their accreditation, we can get in touch and manage it together with them.
Job check
How to prove that you are the best candidate? The Job Check is the step that will bring you closer to your work visa, this is included in our advice, remember that a poorly executed Job Check can close the door to apply.
Visa application
The time has come to apply. We will guide you throughout the process to achieve the results you expect. A work visa is not luck, get advice from the best!
At SEA International we are a migration and study agency, the service we offer is advice for any type of visa in New Zealand, therefore, getting the job offer depends on each applicant.
FIRST STEP
Check our work visa checklist!

- You have a job offer or you are in a selection process
This is the most important part. If you do not have the job offer yet, go to the bottom of the page where we leave you some tips to start your job search or see your options with the study visa.
- Professional studies
Studies related to the area you are in will be of great value when justifying why you are the best candidate for this job. You can start by gathering the evidence of your completion certificates. Studies that have not been completed do not count as evidence.
- Proven work experience
You must be able to prove your previous jobs. Especially if the job you are applying for requires you to have certain specific skills to perform it. Jobs in which you cannot prove formality (payment of taxes, payment of salary, employment contracts) do not count as evidence.
- Health and character
You must be able to show that you are in good health and that you do not have a criminal record that could harm your application. This includes, for example, a situation of previous illegality in other countries or lawsuits of any kind.
If your plan is to travel with your family (partner, children), keep in mind that from December 2022, working couples whose positions are not on the Green List must apply for a work visa on their own rights. Dependent children may continue to be sponsored by the parent who has a work visa.
SECOND STEP
Do you meet the checklist requirements?
It is important that you answer the checklist thoroughly since it will depend on this that we can provide you with the best advice.
Do you meet the requirements? Cool! We are one step closer and will start working on your study plan soon. If you feel that you are missing very little, but you are on the right track, we can also help you.
If you don't meet them, that's fine! you know that there are things you can work on, but at this time we will not be able to advance further in your process.
I meet the requirements, let's start!

The time has come to take the first step! We will ask you some key questions about your project. It is vital that you answer honestly as this will help us give you a more accurate guide.
Our intention is that you have the best experience from the first moment you press the button, but we count on you to make it happen and your answers are the basis to make it happen.
Fill out the form below!
I do not comply with the checklist, what now?

Depending on the reasons why you feel that you are not prepared, we may be able to help you in the future. For example, do you still not have a job offer? start applying.
However, there may be other background factors that are not so easy to modify and in this case we prefer to be honest and that you know that we recommend not starting a work visa process. Ex. Not having verifiable work experience and/or related studies.
